CONCUSSION INFORMATION

A concussion is an injury to the brain caused by either of the following:

- A direct blow to the head
- A blow to another part of the body where the force is transmitted to the head

Concussion symptoms can vary from mild to severe and most occur without loss of consciousness. All concussions are potentially serious and may result in complications including prolonged brain damage and death if not managed properly. If you, your coach, or your parent think you may have sustained a concussion, please see the athletic director or your medical provider promptly.
